Where Culture leads and Music Tells A Story
A world where students are empowered and elevated by Mariachi music.
About us
Who We Are
Cuerdas y Canciones strengthens mariachi education in Colorado by supporting the music educators who teach it. We provide professional development and resources to help teachers create authentic learning experiences that connect students with the music, traditions, and culture of mariachi.

Why Mariachi Education Matters
“Having a mariachi program at my school is beneficial because it provides more opportunities for all of my students. It’s had a tremendous impact on bringing in students that are not traditionally in the music programs we already offer.”
- Brian Crim, Skyline High School
“It would be so exciting to see more schools offer a mariachi program in order to provide opportunities to more students.”
